Teachers all agree that it is not necessary before Kindergarten for children to know how to read or write letters or numbers. However, since much of what children learn in school involves books, reading, and writing, it helps them be ready for Kindergarten if they have some ideas about the connection between speaking, writing, and books before they come to school. | |
