Using all their senses | |
...and why it's important | |
Although we don't always realize it, we use all our senses to learn things about the world, even things we learn at school. While we learn a lot through seeing and hearing, we also learn about things from how they feel, how they taste, and even how they smell! Think about how many ways we know it when we wash a dog!! Using all our senses helps tell us when things are alike, and when they're different, which is very important for learning everything, including reading, writing, drawing, music, and even arithmetic and science. So it's important for children, who have so much to learn, to be able to use all their senses to learn about the things around them. |
